The first 100 Days

Much has been written about the first 100 days of the Obama Administration. They have been astonishing. It goes without saying that people like me, who never wanted to see him become president, are dissatisfied with his performance. In fact, there has been a blizzard of controversial actions initiated by President Obama in that short period of time.
Voters chose Barack Obama to become president. Not by a landslide, but by a majority. Many of them had no idea who he was. They still don’t. In his first 100 days he initiated policies that have alarmed many of America’s voters, including some who voted for him. For starters he pushed through a bill that spent trillions of dollars and indebted our children and grandchildren for years to come. He spent more than all of America’s presidents combined since America became a Republic.
Barack Obama was a major player in Chicago politics. Corruption was and is the norm there. I mentioned before that it is impossible to swim in a sewer for years without becoming very, very dirty. The people he has selected to become a part of his administration share at least one thing in common. They all have very questionable histories. Here are some examples:

Tom Daschle – Proposed for Director of Health and Human Services. His nomination was withdrawn because of his failure to pay taxes.

Timothy Geithner – Another appointee who owes back taxes. President Obama selected this recalcitrant tax payer to be Secretary of the Treasury in his administration
.

Bill Richardson, Governor of New Mexico – Richardson withdrew his name from consideration for a cabinet position when it surfaced that he was under investigation for awarding a lucrative contract to a firm that contributed heavily to his campaign.
