| Glen Beck gave the keynote address
at the CPAC gathering this year. Last
year Rush Limbaugh had that honor. The
onservative Political Action Committee
is exactly what the name suggests.
Conservatives gather annually to listen to
speakers and discuss ways to advance the
conservative agenda. I only saw video clips of some of the speakers, but I did see Glen Beck deliver his speech on Fox News. I thought it was great. I mentioned to a friend that on his best day, with his teleprompter working perfectly, Barack Obama couldn't come close to making a speech like Beck's. Why? One reason is because Obama is seldom speaking the truth. To make things worse, he makes a speech every day and is apparently unaware of his contradictory statements to the American people. Either that or he has absolutely no shame about his lies. Beck is far from perfect in his delivery. I often find him to be just a little bizarre in his presentation. I wish that he would omit constant references to his alcoholism. Above all, I wish that when he is on camera in suit and tie doing his show we would not be able to see his sneakers. I remind myself that Glen Beck is an entertainer. That has an impact on the |

Until he began focusing on identifying
what a progressive really is, many people
had no idea about the positions Progressives
have taken in the past. At various
times liberals have found it desirable
to shed the liberal label and call themselves
progressives. I think that they use
whatever word is less tarnished by their
behavior at the time.
When it comes to Progressives there
is abundant historical evidence that they
were and are enemies of the American
form of government. Several former
progressive American presidents clearly
stated that they found the greatest obstacle
to their ideological goals was the
Constitution.
Teddy Roosevelt's comments when he
was president reveal an amazing similarity
to those of Barack Obama. Woodrow
Wilson was a progressive and so was
FDR. Progressives believe in big government
and feel constrained and frustrated
by the Constitution. That is an ominous
belief when it applies to a free America.
Barack Obama is on record criticizing
the Constitution because it limits what
government can do. He has said that
redistribution of wealth is hampered by
the Constitution. Continued on Page 3 - BECK |

way he presents himself. The day after his speech at CPAC William Bennett criticized him for ignoring the Republicans who had been speaking out against the policies of Barack Obama and the Democratic Party leadership. I respect Mr. Bennett, but I think that Beck was focused more on underlining the fact that there are "progressives" in both political Parties. Glen Beck identifies the cancer that is relentlessly undermining the liberties Americans have enjoyed since the idea that is America was presented to us in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Glen Beck is very much hated by the left. He is hated with good reason. Beck exposes the truth about "Progressives." |

____________________________________________ State Legislative Efforts to Restore The Federal Government has overreached its lawful duties as
outlined in the Constitution of the United States, forcing states to
adhere to rules, regulations and taxes have the right to impose, in clear and blatant violation of the 10th Amendment.
The time has come for states to take
serious and effective action to resist
Federal intrusion of their lawful rights
and duties.
First, the legislators call for the passage of a comprehensive
package of 10 key pieces of legislation that will reclaim
state sovereignty by nullifying
regulations illegally imposed by the Federal Government.
Second is to establish a "Sheriffs First"
program allowing county sheriffs to reaffirm and uphold
their oaths to protect and defend the Constitution of the United
States.
Third is to call on the people of the United States to support
these efforts and to help pass such legislation in state legislatures across the nation. (The above was taken from the DeWeese Report
and the American Policy Center.) These are three statements that
should be presented to every person running for
office in Ravalli County and the state of Montana, whether
it is for State Representative, State Senator, County Commissioner
or sheriff
The State of Colorado is already doing some of this
according to Tom Tancredo and petitions are circulating to |

SPINELESS AMERICA |

"He was a drug |
The other night I saw a program on Fox
News that clarified some of my thinking
about what is happening in America today.
Fox has a late night show, Redeye, hosted by a
man named Greg Gutfeld. It is appropriately
a late night presentation staffed by Red Eye
comedians, with a day time Fox employee or
two from other programs as guests. There was a section of the program in which a 911 call was replayed. The conversation was between the dispatcher and a woman calling for help. She was obviously very agitated because a man she did not know was breaking into the glass doors of her home. The sound of something slamming into the door could be heard in the background . The woman informed the dispatcher that she had a shotgun and that if the intruder did not go away she would shoot him. Interestingly to me the dispatcher, a woman, made it clear that if shooting was necessary the law supported the resident's right to employ deadly force. That was interesting because gun control advocates work unceasingly to eliminate that right.. She shot and killed the man. He was a drug abusing, intoxicated felon with a criminal history. I was amazed to hear the guest from the Fox day time line up (I can't remember her name) criticize the woman who ended his career. The Fox staff member criticized the distraught woman and said that she had time to escape out of the back door. As if that was not stupid enough, she then blurted out "Why didn't she wound him?" Her comments reflected a terrible reality about today's America. A few generations of the schools implanting the idea that guns should be eliminated from our society, coupled with the idea anyone who owns a gun is potentially violent, has resulted in the irrational comments of the woman on Redeye. It is an example of how weak and confused many Americans have become. |
For the sake of discussion consider the possible consequences of running out of the back door. What if another person was at the back door? And the idea of running into the bathroom is ludicrous. Consider this. The home owner is to abandon her home, exiting the back oor, or run into the bathroom and give the home invader access to everything in the house. I am reminded of the TV advertisement for Brinks/Broadview Security. A man crashes into a woman's home but the alarm goes off The hooded invader, hearing the alarm, runs away. Immediately the phone rings. A clean cut young guy calls to inform her that he is a Brinks employee and asks whether she is alright. She breathlessly tells him that a man just broke into her home. His response is "I am sending help right now." First of all, police response time can be measured in hours in some laces. A deranged invader, violent nough to smash in a door, may not be frightened away by the sound of an larm, no matter what the response time. That this commercial has been on TV for some time now suggests that the company views potential customers as being extremely naïve. I am forced to assume that the young woman on Redeye is also naïve. She is naïve, misinformed and consequently dangerous. She is dangerous, because she had a platform to spread her silly notion of an appropriate response to a home invasion. She thinks it appropriate for a homeowner to abandon their home if some thug tries to kick the door in. Either that or hide in the bathroom. This is the kind of thinking resulting from a public school education in today's america. I find it revolting. Gene Williams |

A Symbiotic Relationship With the Left (sort of) |
|||||||||
When I think about having been a hard-core political Leftist for most of my life, the difficult process through the last several years of dealing with the reality of that long-term political
indoctrination and self-imposed intellectual dishonesty, pretending to be an independent thinker instead of the standard Leftist conformist that I and my friends were, there is the perception that knowing how the Leftist agenda actually works can help us as individuals to continue doing the right stuff for advancing our country. |
We will, as we are now doing with major grass-roots action, react positively with resolve in the best interest of a vast majority of the people, come together to make it happen and begin to change the dangerous shift in power that has been happening in basic and varied ways over a long period of time. This power shift has happened bit-by-bit from the inside of all our major institutions. As far as I can tell, this is not an example of political (or cultural) evolution, as people of the Left would have us believe, but a long-term cynical power grab. What we are seeing here is enormously dangerous for us as individuals and for our country. A perfect example of this process has to do with the national problems of health care. The legislation that is being pushed by what I call a traditional Chicago style gangsterism, against our majority's
|
desire, is not about health care...it's all about control. Without the Left pushing its plan of control on every level by the State, (having taken power since 2006 and especially since November, 2008) being in our face and awakening the slumbering and indulgent giant which is us, we probably would not have been motivated as individuals and as a people to begin solving our real health care problems and to begin the rapid dismantling of the present historically unprecedented, destructive administration...within the solid Constitutional guidelines that have been there for us from the beginning. |
